I don’t understand how people can be so stupid and selfish. It’s pretty much always the innocent people that get hurt the most...

We’re way too easy on drunk drivers (and practically all other criminals) in this country. The driver should be charged with murder and never see the light of day again

This is horrible. Its always a tragedy when this happens to anyone let alone a more public figure like an athlete. Its especially sad that a young, talented kid with his dreams becoming a reality right in front of him gets his life taken away by an irresponsible jerk.

The worst part is people will still drink and drive because they always underestimate their “drunken-ness” If someone has to ask you “are you ok to drive” you’re probably not.

This is horribly sad news. Watched him pitch last night, he had all the talent in the world and was just starting his career. I grew up very close to where the crash took place and know that area well. So sad for all the victims and their families. What a waste.

Very sad. If you’re going to drink, don’t drive. Be responsible and think about everyone else on the road. Another young person taken far too early due to someone else’s irresponsibility is such a tragedy.

Yea, with the humor of Lindsay Lohan, Chloe Kardashian and Paris Hilton aside, this is what usually happens with drunk drivers.

The innocent victim is either maimed or killed. In this case, three people are dead and one is in critical. The suspect looks like a gang kid with his flannel shirt and wife beater.

I feel sorry for the public defender appointed to his case. They deserve a better fate.
