Two crimes + same offense = double standard

Last week, Andrew Gallo realized his future is officially over. Gallo was charged with three counts of murder, four counts of aggravated, vehicular assault, felony eluding, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI for the April 6th car crash that killed Anaheim Angels pitcher, Nick Adenhart and two others. A fourth victim critically injured, but later recovered.

Earlier today, Cleveland Browns wide receiver, Donte Stallworth accepted a plea deal that involved him spending 30 days in jail. In addition, he settled with the victim’s family. What was his crime?

A few months ago, he ran over a pedestrian in Miami, Florida. He was also driving drunk.

Gallo’s crimes guaranteed him 20 years to life. Stallworth got off with 30 days in jail. Gallo wasn’t a pro athlete with millions to pay for lawyers and settle with the victim’s family. Stallworth signed a six-year, $36 million dollar deal with Cleveland last year. And, athletes wondered why the public was always jealous of them!

Athletes have a long history of literally getting away with murder. This is an old story. Who could forget OJ.
